Supported Independent Living is a service for people with an intellectual disability, which promotes and supports people to live independently. The type of support varies for each person and is dependent on their needs and what they want for support.
People are supported in a variety of settings, which include an apartment, a family setting, or group home where a person is preparing to move out on their own. Educational workshops and group activities are also offered through this program.
Supported Independent Living is available in Guelph and throughout Wellington County.
To inquire about initiating services for a person with an intellectual disability, call Access, Information, and Referral at 519-824-4015. This is Central Intake for all developmental service agencies in Wellington County.
