Volunteering

Ultimately, the only way to experience the richness of life is to live in an attitude of gratitude; to appreciate what you have and what you can give. The best way to ensure your happiness is to assist others in experiencing their own.”

VOLUNTEERS play important roles in the programs and services provided by Community Living Guelph Wellington, for adults with intellectual disabilities. VOLUNTEERS come from all walks of life, from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines and, have their own interests and skills. They are the young and the older, and the in-between. What they have in common is a desire to get involved and a desire to make a difference!

VOLUNTEERS coach, cook, bake, mentor, and teach. They donate, befriend, and lend help to the task at hand. They plant, weed, visit, sew, paint, play games and cards, clean, and fund-raise. They chair and serve on the Board of Directors and Committees. They support and enhance the efforts of employees and offer creative ideas that enrich the programs and services of the Agency. VOLUNTEERS become responsive to the needs and abilities of those we support, those who have intellectual disabilities.

VOLUNTEERS are deeply valued by Community Living Guelph Wellington. Their commitment binds us together as a volunteer-based Agency and they provide an important link to the community of Guelph and Wellington County. We very much appreciate the time that they give, the skills that they share, and, the dedication that they demonstrate to enrich the lives of those adults, supported by Community Living Guelph Wellington.

Community Living Guelph Wellington offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, both within the City of Guelph and throughout the towns and villages in Wellington County. If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience, please consider:
