Elder Abuse Awareness Event

Join The Elliott Community for a free half day Elder Abuse Awareness Event. We invite members and families of your organization to learn about how to identify and prevent abuse of the elderly. This one day event is designed to raise awareness and promote a better understanding about types of abuse and neglect of older people as a human rights issue. This event is free and open to the public. We will have senior support resources on site. Refreshments to be served.

Minto Charity Golf Classic

THE MINTO CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC, presented by THE PALMERSTON LION’S CLUB will be in partnership with COMMUNITY LIVING GUELPH WELLINGTON’S ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 at the PIKE LAKE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB RESORT.

We are working together again this year and are pleased to invite you to our Golf Tournament.  Proceeds from this tournament will be divided equally between Community Living Guelph Wellington and The Palmerston Lion’s Club.

The tournament will include 18 holes of golf, 4 person scramble, golf cart, lunch, dinner, special event holes, a putting green and a prize table.

The entry fee is $125 per player which includes your golf, cart, lunch, dinner, speciality package and prize.  Lunch provided at the clubhouse before you start or during your round at the halfway house.

Shotgun starts – 1:00pm – dinner and prizes to follow.

Background:

In follow up to the November 30th Developmental Services Housing Forum Webcast Session held simultaneously in Toronto, Chatham, Ottawa, Orangeville and Thunder Bay, Community Living Guelph Wellington wants to host a meeting to gather and provide feedback to the Ministry.  There are a lot of great and innovative ideas floating around our communities – let’s let the Ministry hear more about them!
